Activating your Account
You will be required to nominate an email address and password via our secure member login area. An email verification will be sent instantly to your nominated email address with a link required to activate your account.
Once activated, you will be asked to enter in your email address and password in order to access your own account.
Forgot your Password?
If you have forgotten or lost your password, simply go to the member login area as you normally would to access our online form. You will note there is a Forgot Password link on the page. Please click on this link and follow the prompts. A new password will be emailed to you instantly.
Using the Online Form
The form can be accessed straight away.
There are 15 set questions and you are mainly required to answer Yes or No to each. The form contains helpful hints and schedules to assist the completion of the questions, and you are able to email us your question at any stage. You are also able to upload any supporting documentation for Ask Us Tax to review.
The form has a number of functions for your convenience. These are:
Home – redirects to our Ask Us Tax homepage
Continue Form – restores the current form at point last saved
Past Form – allows access to prior year forms submitted with Ask Us Tax
Settings – allows change of password
Save & Logout – always prompts for current form to be saved before exiting.
You have a choice to pay via credit card or PayPal and once payment has been made, you will be redirected back to the form where an invoice can be generated for your records. An email receipt will also be sent directly from St George Bank (our merchant facility provider) or PayPal to your nominated email address.
Please note that at this point, you will need to hit the Submit Form button for the form to be processed by Ask Us Tax.
Review of the Online Form
At Ask Us Tax we are registered tax agents and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. One of our qualified tax agents will always check your form before an income tax return is prepared, and then lodged with the Australian Taxation Office. If we require further information, we will email or contact you by phone. Please note as any information we require from you needs to be in writing, it is important you regularly check your email during the tax return process for any communication from us.
We expect we will be able to provide you with your tax position within two to five working days depending on the complexity of the return.
You can expect a copy of your tax return once finalised. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) normally processes returns within 14 days of lodgement. Please note that by lodgement we are referring to when Ask Us Tax lodges your return with the ATO, not when you submit your tax return with us.
Ask Us Tax uses a special Positive Private SSL certificate issued by Geo Trust. This certificate ensures all your information including payment of our fee is electronically encrypted using the most secure, stable technology.
